Explore Wiltshire on foot
Twenty walks explore Wiltshire beyond the view from the A303, revealing prehistoric monuments, hill forts, white horses, water meadows, market towns and villages with centuries of history written into the landscape.
Routes include Fovant, Old Sarum, Avebury, Barbury Castle, Marlborough, Bradford-on-Avon, Malmesbury and Roundway Hill. Regimental badges, World War I associations, ancient farming landscapes, Civil War history and literary connections accompany some of the county’s most distinctive countryside.
Each walk provides clear route directions together with mapping, photographs and practical information to help plan the outing.
