Twenty walks explore Nottinghamshire’s nature reserves, historic estates, woodland, rivers and canals, with family-friendly routes ranging from Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park to quieter villages and reclaimed landscapes.
The selection includes Idle Valley, Laxton, Sherwood Forest, Southwell, Newstead, Attenborough and Cotgrave Country Park. Jane Broomhead combines natural history and historic buildings with accessible countryside walking, giving families plenty of reasons to stop, explore and learn more about the places encountered along the route.
Each walk provides clear route directions together with mapping, photographs and practical information to help plan the outing.
