Explore Leicestershire & Rutland on foot
Twenty walks range across Leicestershire and Rutland, combining rolling countryside, reservoirs, country parks and attractive villages with places that tell the story of the area from Iron Age hillforts to railways and the Battle of Bosworth.
Among the routes are Baggrave Park, Bosworth Field, Braunston-in-Rutland, Burrough Hill Fort, Cossington Meadows, Exton Park and the Great Central Railway. The selection gives both counties a strong sense of identity, mixing wildlife, heritage and open countryside in routes designed for an enjoyable half-day walk.
Each walk provides clear route directions together with mapping, photographs and practical information to help plan the outing.
